Testing of three phase appliances is referenced under Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760 and therefore must be considered when developing and maintaining your test and tag program.

Due to the design of most three phase appliances,  the “meggar test”  ( 500V DC insulation resistance test) would not comply with the requirements of AS/NZS 3760; a leakage current test must be performed.
